Samuel Anthony Roberts Obituary

Samuel "Anthony" Roberts, 39, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Jasper, Alabama.

Born on May 16, 1986, in Alabama, Anthony lived a life marked by individuality, passion, and deep connections with those closest to him.

Anthony was the proud father of three sons—Landon, Brandon, and Luke Roberts—who were the center of his world. He shared a meaningful chapter of his life with Jamie Mays, the mother of his children. He was also a beloved son to Loretta and Terry Roberts, who stood by him through every stage of his journey.

He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Shane Roberts; grandparents Almeta Roberts and Lury Roberts; and Mary Edna Prescott and James Shedd. The memory of these loved ones remained close to Samuel’s heart throughout his life.

A self-employed business owner in HVAC, Anthony took pride in building something of his own. His work ethic reflected his independent spirit—a rebel with long hair and big dreams who carved out his own path. Anthony had a distinctive personality that left an impression wherever he went.

He had a love for Marlboro Reds in the box and Mountain Dews always within reach. He shared a bond with his late brother Chris over their mutual love for Dragon Ball Z—a connection that brought joy and nostalgia. Music played a powerful role in Anthony’s life. He found resonance in the sounds of Kid Rock and Aaron Lewis, often turning up the volume as he worked or relaxed. He enjoyed weight lifting and playing pool, as well as spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, or riding four-wheelers through Alabama’s backroads. A loyal Ford fan through and through, Samuel embraced life with grit and authenticity.

Those who knew Anthony will remember him as someone who lived boldly—never afraid to be himself or chase after what he believed in. His legacy lives on through his sons and all who shared in his journey. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
