Tonya L Hicks

Tonya Hicks, born on June 25, 1957, passed away on August 17, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion. Her life was defined by deep connections to those she held dear, and her gentle presence will be profoundly missed.

 She is survived by her sister, Patricia Taylor, and three beloved daughters: Brandy (Chris) Pschirer, Amanda Hicks, and Dusty Vaughn. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren—Garrett Lilly and Layla Pschirer, Ashton and Noah Vaughn, and Decklyn Hicks—each of whom brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind her nephews Chris Nix, Chad Nix, and Jason Richardson, as well as her niece Miranda Richardson. Tonya’s relationships were central to her life, and her care for her family was boundless.

Her passing is mourned not only by her close kin but also in memory of those who preceded her: her father, Carl Richardson; mother, Lavern Richardson; brothers, Carl Richardson and JR Richardson; and sister, Brenda Richardson. The many memories Tonya created with her departed family members remain treasured and form a lasting legacy of love and unity.

Family and friends will gather to honor Tonya’s life and memory at Day 41 Church, 2783 Prospect Rd, Nauvoo, AL 35578. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. All who cared for and were touched by Tonya are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of a life lived with love and grace.

The absence of Tonya Hicks will be deeply felt, yet her influence endures in the hearts and lives of her family and all who were blessed to know her. May her memory be a comfort and a guiding light to those she leaves behind.
