Timmy Merchant

Timmy Merchant passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 64.

Tim was a Christian, and his faith was an important part of his life. He was a talented artist who could draw and paint just about anything, and that gift reflected his creativity and the way he saw the world around him. Tim also loved a good time with family and friends, and he enjoyed the simple happiness of being together, sharing laughter, and making memories. He enjoyed traveling and sightseeing, and he especially loved spending time at the beach.

Above all, Tim will be remembered for the connections he shared with those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his mother, Peggy Chaffin; his son, Chris Merchant; his granddaughter, Khloe Coon; his grandson, Logan Merchant; and his great-grandson, Beau Riley. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Merchant, Greg Merchant, and Jimmy Merchant; his sisters, Dawn Stanford and Brenda Merchant; and a host of nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward memories of time spent with Tim and the place he held in their lives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Merchant. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Ruth Merchant, and Roy and Nettie Weeks, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with his niece, Kathy Randolph.

Timmy Merchant will be remembered with love by his family and friends. His faith, his artistic talent, his enjoyment of travel, and his love for time spent with those closest to him will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A private family service will be held.  At this time, no public services have been arranged.
