Sharon Faye Short

Sharon Faye Short, aged 87, passed away on September 12, 2024, in Jasper, Alabama. Born on July 29, 1937, in Russellville, Alabama, she lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to her family and community. Sharon is survived by her husband, Pal Short; her children, Rickey Burnett; step-children, Paula Wise, Darlene Cranford, Leigh Dunn (Tommy), and Jeff Short (Lisa); grandchildren, Nick Burnett (Terri Jo), Brynn West (Jonathan), Michelle Browning (Ryan), and Jonathan Long; great-grandchildren, Cambria Burnett, Asa Burnett, Nora Burnett, Austin Halcomb, Carter Mays, Brynli Mays, Drew Halcomb, Kylee Halcomb, Lauren Ellison (John), Hayden Cranford, and Lyla Long. She also leaves behind her sister, Joyce Pittman. Sharon was preceded in death by her first husband, James "Buddy" Burnett; her son, Michael Burnett; and her brothers, James and Gene Raburn. Services to honor Sharon's life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory in Carbon Hill, Alabama, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
