Sandra Joanna Trunnell Espinosa

Mrs. Sandra Joanna Trunnell Espinosa, 63, passed away on December 9, 2024. Sandra was a lovely wife and mother, wonderful sister, and extraordinary grandma. Sandra enjoyed going to the Tennessee mountains, and celebrating the Christmas season, it was her favorite time of year. Sandra was a very strong woman; she loved her family beyond measure. She loved and loved others, she will surely be missed. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Jeanette Lee Nelson; sisters, Johnnie Ruth Nelson and Barbara Jean Nelson, and father-in-law, Juan Espinosa. Left to cherish Sandra's memory include her husband, Carlos Espinosa; children, John Daniel (Katie) Nelson, Cara Trunnell and Monica Jasmine (Ho) Lee; grandson, and pride and joy, River Daniel Nelson; siblings, Danny Thomas Nelson, Rebecca Ann Nelson, and Laura Nelson (Charles) Flippo, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, beginning at 1:00pm at The Church of God Canaan, Sumiton, Alabama. Bro. Charles Flippo will be officiating.
