Reba Maddox

Reba Abbott Maddox, 72 of Carbon Hill, Alabama went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 14, 2023 at her home in the Prospect Community. She was surrounded by her husband, family and friends. There will be no service at this time.

Reba was born in Haleyville, Alabama on October 4, 1950.

She is survived by her devoted husband Jerry Maddox, of Carbon Hill, Alabama; three daughters, Lynn Randleman (Duane), of Mountain Brook, Anita Wylie (John) of Cordova, Maightlyn Maddox of Calera, and daughter-in-law Leslie Maddox of Maylene, 5 grandchildren, Carleton, Leland, Wesley, Carlyn of Mountain Brook and Conner Wylie of Cordova, Sisters Odean Taylor(Oneal); of Arley, Betty Wade of Pace Florida, brother Junior Abbott (Melissa) of Pell City, sister and brother-in-law Patti and Mickey Davis of Jasper, and a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Orbin and Trannie Abbott, brother James Abbott and stepson Chris Maddox. Special thanks to the loving staff of Southeast Hospice and so many others who loved and cared for her.
