Patty Lee Griffis Briggs

Patty Lee Griffis Briggs passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sue Doster & Rudy Ramsay; her father, Pat Spaulding; her mother, Frances “Mom-Mom” Spaulding; her late husband, Hershel Griffis Sr.

Patty is survived by her devoted husband, Chalmer Briggs Jr.; her sons, Hershel Griffis, John Walker; and her daughters, Paula Wallace, April Williams, Crystal Briggs, and Ashley Briggs. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, as well as her sons-in-law, Dennis Williams, Nathan Stanley, Wilfredo Izquierdo, and Bobby Wallace, as well as daughter-in-law, Karen Griffis. Patty was blessed with five grandsons, five granddaughters, and 3 great-grandsons, each of whom brought great joy to her life.

Patty was married to her loving husband, Chalmer, for 44 wonderful years. She treasured her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed drawing, gardening, and spending peaceful hours watching her hummingbirds and the deer that visited her yard. Her gentle spirit, creativity, and devotion to the people she loved will always be remembered.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held Saturday, September 29, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Dora Church of God.
