Nancy Kay Gilbert

Nancy Kay Gherra Gilbert, 84, of Cordova, Alabama, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Jasper, Alabama.

She was born in Athens, Illinois on April 14, 1941. Nancy was an active member of Crossway Baptist Church in Aldridge. She loved praising God, cooking, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Gilbert Sr.

Nancy is survived by her six children: Frank Gilbert (Tina), Kenneth Gilbert Jr. (Vicki), Kevin Gilbert (DeLaina), Michelle Cheatham (Stan), David Gilbert (Rosemary) and Denise Gilbert (Lisa). Siblings: Cindy Ritter (George), Marcy Kelly (Bob), Mary Gruca and Paul Manaois. Grandchildren: Brandon Gilbert (Jamie), Kyle Gilbert (Ashley), Keri Bagwell (Josh), Devin Gilbert (Savannah), Drew Gilbert (Ashley), Seth Cheatham (Emily), Kayla Reed (Jared), Ashleigh Dale (Mo), Rachel Dikis (Josh), Jared Brown, Zane Watson (McKayla), Joseph Jobes (Chelsea), and Syrena Chambers. 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at 2pm on September 14, 2025 at 384 Richardson Rd. Jasper, AL 35504 for her immediate family, church family and friends.
