Obituary

Michael Anthony LaMantia, born on May 12, 1961, passed away on July 22, 2026. His life was marked by a deep commitment to family, an infectious love for music and comedy, and a joy for living that left an indelible impression on all who knew him.

Michael was a man who cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved daughters Stephanee Bennett, Carmen White, and Jessica Naramore, as well as his son-in-law, Matt Naramore. His role as a father and family man was central to his identity, and his devotion to those he loved was evident throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra LaMantia, his mother, Louise LaMantia, his father, Michael LaMantia, son, Damon LaMantia as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Michael honored their memories continually, carrying their spirits with him and finding strength in the bonds they shared.

Those who knew Michael will remember his vibrant personality. He was passionate about music and possessed a keen sense of humor, bringing laughter and joy into every room. His positivity and enthusiasm for life inspired those around him. Michael’s unwavering dedication to family and his zest for life will forever remain part of his legacy.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Michael Anthony LaMantia will be held at 2:00 PM on August 1, 2026, at Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, located at 31404 NE 1st Ave, Carbon Hill, AL 35549. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Michael are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life so well lived.

Michael’s memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved him. His light remains bright in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have shared in his journey.
