Michael Johnsey

Michael "Mike" William Johnsey, 75 of Jasper, Alabama took his place in Heaven on Sunday, July 23, 2023. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Jasper, Alabama to Mannie and Lois Johnsey on July 5, 1948. Preceding in death are his parents Mannie and Lois Johnsey, sister Jenny Johnsey Smith and mother-in-law Katherine Jenkins. Mike, the most loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather is survived by his wife Mary Jenkins Johnsey; sons Jeff (Kim), Kenneth (Ame), Jeremy and Jason (Mary); grandchildren Ariel (Blake), Annsley, Aubrie, Riley, Cooper, Max, Bailey, Harrison and Maddie; brother Gary Johnsey (Jeanne) sisters Cindy Atkins and Mona Ladnier (Tim); may nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was truly a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family. He was a selfless man. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all he knew. He had a beloved dog, Mickey, that never left his side and he loved his Auburn Tigers. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Northside Baptist Church, in Jasper, Alabama. Friends and family visitation will be from 2-4pm with the service starting at 4. Rev.
