Melissa Estes Griggs (Yocum)

Melissa Estes Griggs (Yocum) of Carbon Hill, passed away on September 13, 2024 at the age of 69. Melissa loved The Lord, her dog, her daughter & Charles. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and had a successful career as a cosmetologist. Funeral services for Melissa will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at The Carbon Hill United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the church from 12:00 pm until service time. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee Estes "Ott Sr." and Vaudie King Estes and brother, Billy Wayne "Ott" Estes.

She is survived by her daughter, Lora L. Griggs-Statham (Matthew) and her Partner, Charles A. Yocum.
