Linda Gail Hopson

Linda Gail Hopson, born on March 18, 1945, passed away on November 23, 2025. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her creative spirit and dedication to her family.

Throughout her life, she loved to make pretty things and was an excellent seamstress. She created countless dresses and quilts for all of her granddaughters, which they will cherish as wonderful memories of their grandmother's love.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Pamela Black, and her granddaughters Amanda Truett, Andrea Hird, and Audrey Copeck. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Harlynn and Kennedy Truett, Wylie, Mckenna, and River Hird, and Jensen Copeck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Hopson, and her son, Brad Hopson. Linda was also preceded by her parents, John Milton and Ruby McGuire, as well as her brothers Elmer, Dave, J.C. Harvey, Diddle, Junior, and Jame McGuire. Her sisters Marie Feltman, Iva Dean McGuire, and Delores Watson also passed before her.

A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held on November 28, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory located at 31404 NE 1st Ave, Carbon Hill, AL 35549.
