Lilly "Anna" Heins

August 16, 2000 — August 4, 2024

Anna Heins, 23, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, died at home on August 4, 2024.

She was born in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine in 2000 and adopted with her sisters Alexis and Madeline by Kaye and Alan Heins, arriving in the United States on August 5, 2010, their American birthday. She graduated from Northside high school and attended some college before going to work in the restaurant industry in Tuscaloosa.

Anna was a talented artist, drawing and painting a variety of attractive and interesting pieces. She used that talent in making intentional, thoughtful custom gifts and cards to celebrate birthdays and holidays for her friends and family. She had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, now with no more tears or pain, and with the opportunity to worship her Creator forever in heaven.

Anna is survived by her sisters Alexis Naugher (Johnathan) and Madeline Sullivan (Austin), her parents Kaye and Alan Heins, and her maternal grandparents Camilla and Robert Dobbins.

Memorial service to remember Anna and celebrate her life will be Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11 am at Capstone Church, 4115 Watermelon Road, Northport, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Epilepsy Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
