Obituary

Lee Roland "Bud" Madison, born on February 21, 1944, left this world on February 21, 2026. He was a beloved figure in his community, known for his outgoing personality and warm spirit. Bud enjoyed walking to McDonald's and Jasper Mall, where he loved to meet and engage in conversation with new people. A dedicated member of Mount Zion Non-Denominational Church, he also served as one of the cemetery groundskeepers.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Madison, and their infant son, Michael Joseph Madison. He is also remembered by his parents, Luther Roland Madison and Carrie Madison, and his many siblings: sisters Edna Waire, Mary Hancock, Delma Armstrong, Betty Honeycutt, Loretta Brand, Carrie Madison, and Minnie Pendley; and brothers James Luther Madison, Teddy Madison, and Melvin Rudy Madison.

Bud is surviced by his sister, Glenda Sue Brown, and a special friend, Martha Hester, along with her family. He is also survived by notable extended family members, including Betty Madison, Wanda Boatright, Roland Waire, Atonya Lewis, Kayla White, and his dear great-nieces, Kaydence and Annalia Kisinger. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on February 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Carbon Hill, Alabama. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM on the same day and location.
