Karen Sue Baker

Karen Sue Baker, 62, of Carbon Hill, AL passed away Sunday morning, December 4, 2022, at UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL. The daughter of the late Edward Davis and Rilla Mae Pope Davis. She spent her early years in Waynesboro, TN and had also lived in Greenhill, AL before moving to Carbon Hill. In addition to her husband, Terry Baker, she is survived by one sister Patricia Staggs (Jake), two children, Shannon Hobson (Ricky), and Adrian Butler (Pam). 5 grandchildren, Tailor Scott (Alex), Kiley Daniels (Landen), Blake Butler (Brandi), Michael Butler, Daren Butler and 4 great grandchildren. Also, her loving Shih Tzu Max. She was also proceeded in death by her parents, sister, Janice Davis Fuhrman and brother, Michael Davis. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at The Bob Wilson Memorial Chapel in Carbon Hill, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Shackleford Funeral Home, 104 West Hill Street Waynesboro, TN 38485, on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00am. A visitation will be held in The Shackleford Funeral Home Chapel one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place at Worley Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital in Mrs. Karen's honor.
