Imogene Tucker Pruitt

Imogene Tucker Pruitt, born on January 20, 1937 passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Imogene touched the lives of many throughout her life. 

Imogene is survived by her loving children: Karren Murray (Junior), Donnie Pruitt (Janie), Denise Armstrong (George), and Gary Pruitt (Amy). She was a proud grandmother to Heather Laye (Scott), Tanya Hart (Shane), Brad Pruitt (Brittany), Harlon Wood (Rachel), Miranda Findley (Wesley), Kelli Pruitt, and Billy Pruitt. Additionally, Imogene is remembered fondly by a host of great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Pruitt; her parents, Julia Tucker and William (Bill) Tucker; her brothers, JW Tucker, Hershel Tucker, and Billy Carol Tucker; and her sister, Nopel Tucker. Each of these departed loved ones held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.

A graveside service to honor Imogene's life will take place on Saturday,  January 24, 2026, at Old Union Cemetery, located in Nauvoo, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects at 2:00pm, as they celebrate the extraordinary life she lived.
