Harold Keith Shrader

Harold Keith Shrader born July 23,1960 in Richlands Virginia left to be with his heavenly father at his residence on April 7, 2023 He provided for his family by working hard in the coal mines for 30 years, at US steel in Pinnacle creek, West Virginia and the last 10 years for Drummond (Shoal Creek) in Alabama. He loved his grill & smoker and trying new recipes for his family. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and traveling to the beach in Florida and Smoky Mountains. He was the son of the late James and Edith Shrader. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Lewis, and Katherine Cox. Brother Larry Shrader, His infant daughter Sarah Shrader. Sons Joel Benjamin McCarty, Bobby McCarty Jr. Sons in law Richard Lee Summers and Andy Blankenship. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 24 years Patricia Shrader of Jasper Al. Brothers Tom Shrader (Kayoka), Bob Shrader (Linda), Randal Shrader. Two sisters Nancy Glass (Chuck), Mary Lou Shively (Tom), Sister-in-law Carol Shrader, Five daughters Bobbi Roberts, Leigh Summers, Betsy Harmon, Jennifer Blankenship, and Christina Wolfe. Son Daniel Shrader, a bonus daughter Margaret Shrader, and grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Sadie, A.J. Blankenship, Jessica, Laura, Bobby McCarty and two great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services for Mr. Shrader will take place at Seaver Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton West Virginia at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023. A visitation will be held in the chapel from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Bluefield Virginia immediately after the services. Brother Elbert Lester will officiate. The family has requested that flowers be sent, or donations made to their local no kill animal shelter.
