Gregory Glen Lockhart

Gregory Glen Lockhart, born on August 25, 1964, passed away on September 20, 2026.

Gregory will be remembered as a man who cared deeply for the people around him. He ran a produce stand at the Town Creek Volunteer Fire Department every day, rain or shine. He loved his community and gave away more than he sold, a kindness that spoke clearly about the kind of person he was. He also loved Alabama Football, a joy that was part of his life and surely shared in many conversations and game days.

He is survived by his daughter, Natileigh O'Sheilds Owens and Chris; his mother, Martha Ann Lockhart; his sister, Gene Ann Jimmerson and husband, Jim; and his brother, Sam Lockhart and Sherri. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Lydia Lockhart and Aiden Lockhart, and by his grandchildren, Brileigh O'Shields and Ryan O'Shields. They, along with many others who knew him through his daily work and generous spirit, will carry his memory forward with love.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Gene Lockhart; his grandfather, Glen Johnston; his grandmother, Vola Mae Johnston; his niece, Avery Ann Hildreth; his uncle, William Ronald Johnston; and ex-wife, Cynthia Jo Nix.

Gregory’s life was marked by steady kindness, devotion to his community, and simple joys. He will be missed by his family, his friends, and the many people whose days were made better by seeing him at the produce stand. His memory will remain a blessing to those who loved him.
