Elton Keith Ashcraft

Elton Keith Ashcraft was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on December 21, 1955, and died on December 27, 2023, in Nauvoo, Alabama. He was 68 years old. Elton was the first of four children born to Elizabeth Ruth Harrell Ashcraft and Maurice Bryan Ashcraft. Having attended Cottondale Elementary School while living in Glenwood Park, Cottondale, Alabama, Elton then attended Eastwood Jr High School and Tuscaloosa High School. Elton is preceded in death by his wife Linda Bell (2023), father, Maurice (2010), mother, Elizabeth (2002), sister, Karen Denise Ashcraft (1999), grandparents Ruby Cook & D. W. Harrell and Mamie Wheat & Wilford Lester Ashcraft. He is survived by a son, Joshua B Ashcraft (Brooke) and a daughter, Leslie B. Essman. He is also survived by several grandchildren and sisters, Sharon Freeman (Bobby) and Jerolyn Ashcraft (Kenny Baker), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wilson Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory LLC, Carbon Hill, Alabama is handling arrangements. There will be a memorial service announced at a later time.
