Elbert Lloyd Pair

Elbert Lloyd Pair, born on April 24, 1943, passed away on February 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service and courage. He dedicated 32 years of his life to the United States Army, during which he was honored as a Purple Heart recipient for his bravery.

Elbert was a cherished member of his family, which includes his son, Tim Pair, and daughter-in-law, Michelle Pair. He took great joy in his role as a grandfather to Breanna Bowen and Chloe Pair, and was a proud great-grandfather to Lottie Bowen. Elbert also shared a special bond with his sister-in-law, Rosie Pair.

He is preceded in death by several family members, including his beloved wife Patricia Pair; brothers Stoney Pair and Gene Pair; and sister Cheryl Parker. He was also the son of Luther and Ollie Pair.

Elbert’s life will be honored during a graveside service at Guthrie Cemetery in Townley, Alabama, on February 20, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are encouraged to gather to remember and celebrate the life of this remarkable man.
