Dwayne "D" Deavers

May 17, 1964 — June 4, 2026

Dwayne ‘D’ Deavers, 62 , of Jasper, AL, passed away on June 4th, 2026 in Birmingham, AL.

D was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on May 17th, 1964. He attended school at Carbon Hill High School and served in the Army National Guard. He spent countless years working in the HVAC industry, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. To know D was to know what he loved. He and his wife, Sherrie, made beautiful memories traveling together. He loved the peace of weekend camping trips, the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, cooking homemade meals for his family and friends, and looked forward to hitting the lanes with his bowling league every Tuesday night.

Above all, fall was his favorite time of year, strictly because it meant Alabama football. He cheered on the Crimson Tide with unmatched passion, and his enthusiasm on game days will be deeply missed by everyone.

D is survived by his beloved wife, Sherrie; his children, Cynthia Aldridge and her husband Joey; Chad Deavers; Stepdaughter Rachel Shockley and her husband Coleman; his brother, Darryl Deavers; and his cherished granddaughter, Laura Grace Aldridge, who held an incredibly special place in his heart. He also leaves behind many close cousins, a great-niece, Bridger Rowe, and his great-nephews, Maddux Irvin and Boone Rowe, who brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Billie Deavers, and Wilburn Deavers.

D was valued and loved by many, especially his children and granddaughter. Chad describes D as not only his father, but his best friend, and trusted coworker. Together, they shared an immense love for music and enjoyed attending concerts whenever they could. Cynthia will forever treasure their shared sense of humor and the countless memories filled with laughter. Laura Grace cherished every opportunity to go bowling with her Paw Paw, creating special memories that will last a lifetime.

We look forward to gathering with friends and family at a later date to celebrate his life, honor his memory, and share the many stories and memories that reflect the lasting impact he made on so many lives.
