David Scott Parks, more affectionately known as 'Scotty', passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the age of 54. Scotty was a kind man who held an open-door policy for anyone, not just his friends, but anyone. To know Scotty was to know a friend. Someone who would be there for you no matter what. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Marie Mallett; aunt, Bonnie Wint; and uncles, Winford Mallett, and Bo Mallett. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Mallett; sister, Dawn Pasco (Blaine) and sister, Michelle Richardson; special friend, Melissa McGlothlin; sons, Phillip Michael and Jimmy Ray; daughters, Dezi Parks and Shaunte Donaldson (Frank); nephews, Corey Pasco (Megan) and Jake Pasco; niece, Gracie-Beth Humphries (Drake); grandkids, Nate Donaldson, Azreal Parks, Skyla Ray, Brandon Ray and Ricky Ray. A private service for the family is being held by Wilson Funeral Home in Carbon Hill with Burial at Bennett Cemetery.
