Clarence Cordell

Clarence Allen Cordell, 67 of Carbon Hill, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at UAB Hospital. He was loved by everyone he encountered. He painted houses for a living, a trade he took up from his daddy. This is a trade he loved and passed down to other family members, Jeramiah Pinn and Nicole Byars. Clarence was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Cordell; mother, Betty Jo Edgil Cordell; brother, John Franklin Cordell, and sister, Debra Lee Swartout. He is survived by his sisters, Teresa Cordell Dodd Rutledge and Wanda Byars; special friends, Josh Garner, Jason Flippo, Joey Flippo; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give special thanks to Nicole Byars and Josh Garner for their kindness shown during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
