Carlos was proudest of his family. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Stricklin, and his sons, Mickey Stricklin and Brandon Tidwell. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Alonah Casey, Bryson Casey, Hazel Casey, Whitley Stricklin, and Willow Stricklin. He also leaves behind his sister, Misty Fender, and brother-in-law, Brandon Fender; his uncles, Joey Brewer and Jimmy Smith; his niece, Maria Fender; and his nephew, Brandon Fender.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Dean Tidwell, his mother, Edna Lynn Tidwell, his wife, Mindy Tidwell, his aunt, Karen Brewer, and his uncle, Billy Chapman.

Throughout his life, Carlos was known not only for his decorative prowess but also for his deep commitment to family and community. His memory will be cherished by those whose lives he touched, and his contributions will remain part of the fabric of Walker County for years to come.
