Barbara Ann Webb, born on March 21, 1940, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2026. She was a beloved member of the Elm Grove Church of God, where she faithfully attended and dedicated herself to serving in various roles, including as a Sunday school teacher. Barbara’s unwavering faith and tireless commitment to her church community were a true testament to her character, and she inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately supporting the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Atlanta Braves, and the Dallas Cowboys. Her love for these teams reflected her spirited nature and zest for life, which brightened the days of her family and friends. She is survived by her loving children, Gregory (Marie) Webb, Vicky Phillips, Eric Webb, Mitchell (Sherry) Webb, and Brandy Webb. Barbara’s legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. She also cherished the companionship of a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends who were an integral part of her life. Her sisters, Nettie Dickson and Linda Derrick, along with her brother John Richardson, mourn her loss and remember her with great affection. Barbara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jimmy D. Webb; her parents, Willard and Lois Richardson; her sisters Peggy Jean Davis, Mary Feltman, Julia Ann Swindle, and Donna Jo McKeever; and her brothers Jerry Richardson, Donnie Richardson, and Kenny Richardson. A visitation to honor Barbara’s life will be held on May 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Elm Grove Church of God on Fish Hatchery Road in Carbon Hill, AL. The funeral service will follow from 2:00 PM at the same location. Barbara Ann Webb’s kindness, devotion to her faith, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and motivate those whose lives she touched, and she will forever hold a cherished place in their hearts.
