Augusta Smith Kelley

Augusta Smith Kelley passed away at her home in Bankston, Alabama, surrounded by her family, on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Augusta worked at the Fayette Walmart for 18 years. She was a member of Glen Allen Church of Christ. She had a heart for animals and enjoyed spoiling her pets. Augusta had many talents. She loved singing, especially classical music. She produced several beautiful paintings in her younger years. Augusta enjoyed writing poetry. She entered many of her heartfelt poems into contests which she won. When Augusta was able, she worked in her yard tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Thomas & Cora Mae Smith and her brother-in-law, Frank Woodard. Augusta is survived by her loving husband, William Michael Kelley; sisters, Beatrice Woodard and Andrea Kee (Bob); brother, Donald Smith (Denise). A memorial service in her honor will be held at New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2:00pm.
